Diabetes WA is a member organisation of Diabetes Australia and delivers the NDSS to the people of Western Australia. Operating as the peak body and voice for diabetes in Western Australia, Diabetes WA strives to reach their vision of ‘freedom from diabetes’ through:
- A range of products, support and education services to make living with diabetes easier;
- Community prevention programs to safeguard against or reduce the impact of diabetes;
- Advocacy to promote greater community equality, acceptance and support of people with diabetes and to eliminate discrimination and stigma; and
- Conducting research to develop best practice and policy while supporting research that aims to improve quality of life of those with diabetes.
